Part-List Plus integrates a relational database that is especially designed to guarantee flexibility, performance and security while offering a simple user interface.




Flexibility
Data is stored in a "tree" architecture and can be classified by categories which allows for precise component management (for example, computing the stock value for a given part).
Il is very easy to create new fields in order to manage any types of data, including multimedia data (images, videos, sounds, etc...). Remote access requires nothing more than a simple TCP/IP link layer, which makes the database accessible through the Internet.




Performance
Data access performance (query speed, report generation speed, database access speed) is remarkable, whether it is for the stand-alone configuration or the client/server network configuration. In the client/server mode, any data update that is validated by a workstation is passed on to all the others in real-time.




Security
The system is designed so that the database integrity is always guaranteed, even when the computer breaks down during a back-up.
Data access is controlled thanks to user profiles definition. Data sharing protocol, based upon a client/server structure, make the workstations independent of the server: they don't need to share any disk space.




Interface
The implementation of a unique IP technology gives us the ability to interface Part-List Plus through IP agents to any external system, whatever the platform on which it is running. Events management supported by this technology makes real-time interfaces possible. Moreover, the number of IP agents, and, by extension, the number of systems that may be interfaced with a same one Part-List Plus server, is not limited.
